- The quick access bar is an important part of your Outlook experience. And it's an easy way for you to move among the top Outlook features—Mail, Calendar, People, and Tasks. The bar is in addition to the standard tabs and ribbons that provide you with an assortment of tools and options to help you use and manage Outlook.
Read receipts and delivery notifications are available in only some versions of Outlook for Mac, and only when using an Office 365 work or school account, or an Exchange Server account managed by your organization.
Supported applications include Outlook for Office 365 and Outlook 2019 for Mac version 15.35 (170610) and later (select Outlook > About Outlook to check your version).
Microsoft Outlook For Mac
Supported accounts. To use this feature, you need an Office 365 work or school account, or an Exchange on-premises account. Select Tools > Accounts to check your account type.
Unsupported accounts. This feature isn't available for Outlook.com accounts, or for IMAP or POP accounts such as Gmail, Yahoo!, or iCloud.
Request a read receipt
- In Outlook, compose your message.
- Select Options > Request Receipts > Request a Read Receipt.
- Send your message.
Request a delivery notification
- In Outlook, compose your message.
- Select Options > Request Receipts > Request a Delivery Receipt.
- Send your message.

Request a read receipt or delivery notification in Outlook for Windows
- This feature is only available in Outlook 2016 for Mac 15.36.1 (170721) and later with an Office 365 subscription and Outlook 2019 for Mac (select Outlook > About Outlook to check your version).
- An Exchange account such as Outlook.com hosted on Office 365 or on Exchange 2016 CU5 and later.
- It won’t work with IMAP or POP accounts such as Gmail, Yahoo, or iCloud.
Schedule a message to be sent later
- Compose your email message and include one or more recipient names on the To: line.
- Onthe Send button, select the dropdown arrow > Send Later.
- Enter a time and date.
- Select Send. The message will be saved in the Drafts folder until the specified date and time. It will be sent even if Outlook is not open on your computer.
Cancel a message scheduled to be sent later
- In the Drafts folder, open the email message.
- Turn off update notifications mac. Select Cancel Send.
- Select Yes to confirm. The message remains open so you can send it right away or delay it until another time.
